How does it work?

1

Add the customer

Create your account, then add the name once: anyone you sell to on credit.

2

Write the sale or the payment

One line each time. A credit sale increases what they owe. A payment brings it down. A return is a new line, not a deleted sale.

3

See the balance and send their statement

The balance updates after each line. Send that person’s statement only — a WhatsApp link if you want — without the rest of the book.

Questions about the customer book

What is Kaymn Accounting?

Kaymn is a customer book on the web: who owes you, what you owe them, more than one currency, and a statement you can send to one person. It is for shops, not a full accounting suite.

What is a customer book?

A list of names and what happened: each credit sale, each payment, each return, and the balance that follows. It is not a tax invoice and not inventory. Kaymn is that book in the browser.

How do I know how much a customer owes?

Not a number you keep in your head. Write every credit sale and every payment. Never erase yesterday’s total and put a new one — add a new line.

How do I record a sale on credit?

Add their name once. Then the amount, the currency, a short note, and mark it as money they owe you. When they pay, add a new line so the balance falls. A return is its own line, not a deleted sale.

How is this different from full accounting software?

A customer book tracks people and what they owe. Full accounting adds stock, tax, and double-entry. Kaymn stays on the book so a shop can start without a chart of accounts.

What do Receivable and Payable mean in Kaymn?

Two buttons for one balance. A credit sale is usually Receivable — they owe you more. A payment should be Payable, so what they owe comes down. Mixing the two is why the total looks wrong after they paid.

Does Kaymn handle more than one currency?

Yes. Write each line in the currency you actually took. A dollar total is for you, so mixed currencies can be compared. The customer still sees their own currency on the statement.

How do I collect what customers owe?

Keep the book current, look at the large balances once a week, and send that person’s statement before you ask. Kaymn can share a link. It does not send automatic WhatsApp reminders.

Is Kaymn free?

Yes — a 7-day trial with no card, on a phone or a computer.

Is Kaymn Accounting the same as kaymn.com?

No. The customer book is kaymn.net. kaymn.com is a different product (community and stories).
